Knitting Olympics Day Week 2

This has been a semi productive week.  Work and Ash Wednesday were major competitors for my time!  I've made it to the where I have placed the leg lines in the sock and have started the decreases to close up the heel.  I've decided to twist the stitches so the yarn will have an extra twist.  This actually increase the strength of the yarn and will reduce the wear on this area of the sock.  This means that the heel won't wear out!  I have to do this weekend if I hope to be finish by the closing ceremonies next weekend.

The twisted stitches have definitely changed the direction on heel of the sock.  I also have been ripping out several rows several times.  I keep forgetting to do the last decrease before I swap to the other needle.  I always find it when it's time to do the next decrease because there is an extra stitch. :-(
