Post Knitting Olympics

Work got in the way of completing my socks  by the closing ceremonies.  :-(

But I still have progress!  Knitting twisted stitches is very slow and time consuming.  I kept having to frog it because I would forget to do a decrease.  Both of the feet are now completed.  I also have opened up both of the leg openings and am ready to start the legs.  I'm on vacation with my boys and didn't bring a scale.  I wanted to make two equal size balls of yarn so I can knit both legs until I run out of yarn.  The SanDestin Hilton has the nicest people!  I went to Picnics and the guy behind the register let me borrow their little scale Everyone watched me go back and forth between the two balls of yarn adjusting the size until they weighed the same.  Voila I now have to balls of yarn to knit happily away.

Now to what pattern to do the leg in....Originally I was going to do the Flabella pattern from the socks that rock club for January 2010 but as I was rereading the book by Cat Bordhi, I found the Manely Stanley patter that is knitted in Blue Moon Socks that Rock  wool.  The patter is really neat knitted in that pattern.  Diamonds downt the front of the leg and a rib on the back half.  Sooo, I have decided to do this one instead.

Here is the picture from the book
