Stripe Study Shawl

I started the Stripe Study Shawl back in January and joined the Knit Along (KAL) that froggymonkey started on her group knitting in circles podcast group.

The yarn I chose was from my stash.  I had bought this a couple years ago when my local yarn store was closing.  The yarn is a 4 ply sock yarn that has Aloe Vera.  It is 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon.  The ball you use for the stripes will determine how big the shawl is.  The darker wool in my project will have a lot left over.  Here is a link to the details on needle size etc from my project notebook on Ravelry. 

This was a little tricky to get it started.  You cast on 3 stitches and then add increases that I had to write out as a chart to ensure it was correct.  I'm now on the eight stripe. As you complete your stripe it takes longer and longer to finish each one.  Looks like you add two rows for each stripe. Here are some pictures of the project
